Daughter of Juan Francisco Urquidi Marquéz and Beatrice Mary Bingham. .

Born in London, England in 1921, the eleventh year of the reign of King George V.

Two marriages


Maria Catalina was married and divorced twice.

In 1940 aged eighteen she married Samuel Bolling Wright Conger, son of one of Mexico's wealthiest philanthropists, however the marriage was short-lived and they divorced just two years later.

In 1945 Maria Catalina married Alberto Valentin Chanvet Alvarado and this second marriage lasted eight years until their divorce in 1952.
