Saucy postcards


I have a vivid memory of visiting Auntie Joan's bedroom above the living room in Little Acre. The whole of the wall was covered in saucy postcards, quite a thrill for a young lad! - Tim Richardson

Biography

Dorothy Joan Richardson was born on 25 March 1914 in Redhill, Surrey, her father, Arthur, was 25, and her mother, Gertrude, was 23. She was generally called Joan .She had one brother and two sisters.

Sadly she was institutionalize for most of her life.
She died in September 1981 in Worthing, Norfolk, at the age of 67
