Born in 1778, the eighteenth year of the reign of King George III, and died aged seventy-eight in the twentieth year of the reign of Queen Victoria

St Paul's Church in Canterbury

Married William in St Paul's Church in Canterbury on 2 March 1806, she was about 30 and William nearly 40.

William was the Hop Supervisor for the Canterbury Collection of His Majesty's Customs & Excise, a position to which he had been appointed eight years earlier.

Outlived her husband William by twenty years.

Buried in the church yard of Holy Trinity Brompton in Knightsbridge, London. Contrary to the custom she retained her maiden name when she married and became Jane Mary Jeffries Ada. This was yet another variation on her surname, since on her marriage certificate she was a Jeffress, her brother Paul was a Jefferes and another relative was a Sarah Jeffreys.
